The Lemont Area Historical Society (LAHS) is a non-profit 501(c) organization. Its operation primarily depends on membership fees and the generous donations from its members, visitors, local businesses, organizations, and the time of its volunteers. It currently receives no Federal, State, nor any local governmentals or other taxing district funding. Thus, the LAHS deeply appreciates any financial contributions that the public can make to support and continuation of the LAHS mission to perserve and document the history of the Lemont Illinois area. Besides cash, the LAHS welcomes financial donations in the form of securities, real property and/or artifacts. Such gifts are fully deductible for Federal income tax purposes. If they choose, donors may may also designate that the funds be used for specifics uses such as the LAHS's annual budget, endowment, building restoration projects and/or other special activites.
