Established in 1836. It was used by some farm families located to the north of Lemont in the area now occupied by Argonne National Laboratory. It is located on the North Frontage Road of Interstate 55 (Stevenson Expressway), one-half mile west of Cass Avenue in Downers Grove Township, Darien, DuPage County.
