Earliest known burials date back to 1852. St Matthew's Church is responsible for plots in three cemeteries in Lemont. In addition to the main cemetery on 127th Street, it now owns the adjacent International Order of Odd Fellows Cemetery plus 90 lots in Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
