LAHS Board of Directors Meetings: The Board
of Directors meet on the first Monday
of every month at 6:30 pm in the museum, except in December.
March 20 at 7 p.m. Women’s History Month
Featuring Teachers. We have invited 3 or 4 teachers of different levels to talk about their career choice and experiences.
April (date to be announced) Field trip to Chicago to see buildings using our native limestone. Lunch included at Watertower place. The historic Watertower and Waterworks, Holy Name Cathedral, along the “Magic Mile”
May29 To be announced later. Field trip to Ottawa to see Civil War sites.
June 2 National Trails tour of heritage Quarries area. Walks of various lengths guided by society members and friends
July Annual dinner meeting and program. Speaker to be announced, but it may be a video presentation of our new Limestone Exhibit and the background behind it.
September 25 Annual Volunteer appreciation night, raffle, and “Show and Tell” of unusual historic items
November 27 Annual election of officers and special program of a new collection of historic photos with CD copies available
December 2 Annual Choral Festival and cookie sale at the museum.
