SS. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, Lemont, Cook County, Illinois

This is located at 608 Sobieski Street between Czacki and Mocyzgemba Streets. It was organized in 1882 as an offshoot of the nearby St. Alphonsus Church to serve the area's large rapidly growing Polish community. The Church then sold adjacent lots to parishioners and the area was known as Blue Hill. The original church (top) burned on February 28, 1928 and replaced by the current building in 1930.
