Post Office Looking Northwest, Lemont, Cook County, Illinois

The cornerstone of the current post office, 40 Stephen Street, located at the intersection of Stephens Streets and River Road, was laid on March 21, 1937. Ceremonies dedicating the new Post Office were held only four months later on July 4, 1937.
