Illinois Pure Aluminum Plant, Lemont, IL, looking North Only the foundation of the Aluminum Manufacturing Plant, Co. building remains. Also known as the Illinois Pure Aluminum. It located at 109 Holmes Street at Talcott. See Library of Congress' excellent photographic collection which also shows the working conditions inside the factory. Along with two pant factories, Lemont's two aluminum plants were a major employer in the 1892-1940's timeframe. As late as the 1960's, the Illinois Pure Aluminum Company produced pots and pans sold under the brandname Walkerware. Examples are on display in the Museum.

| Reynolds Aluminum Plant, Looking Northwest from New Avenue. It was located at what is now 16135 New Avenue. The facility has been expanded and is currently used as mixed office and warehouse space. | |
