This vintage 1950's picture of the St Alphonsus school building at 210 E. Logan St. adjacent to the St. Alphonsus church. In 1890, it was reported that St. Alphonsus had 67 boys and 74 girls with four Sisters of St. Agnes (of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin) The student body was merged with that of St. Patrick's school with the lower grades of the combined schools attending classes in the St. Alphonsus' building and the upper grades in the St Patrick's building on Cass Street. In 2004, the student body of St. Alphonsus and St. Patrick School was consolidated into one facility in the former Bromberek Elementary School at 20W145 Davey Rd (Dupage County), Lemont |
